Hello Beautiful Souls! This week’s newsletter is a day early (I will typically send Key’s Keys out on Saturday mornings so you can read at your leisure over a cup of coffee, matcha, cacao or bone broth…but today is the final supermoon of 2024 so I thought I would send it out today to honour and celebrate our beautiful Moon.

This full moon is considered the beaver moon- some indigenous say this was because it was this time of year that the traps were laid so there was an abundance of furs over the winter. I cannot attest whether that is accurate but it does make sense. This November full moon joins another celestial treat: the lovely Pleiades star cluster, located just beside the moon in Taurus constellation. This cluster of stars, known affectionately as the ‘Seven Sisters’, is easily recognizable in the sky on a clear night. If you follow the hidden (forbidden) history of star nations, as taught in most shamanic cultures and many indigenous cultures, there is lore around the Pleiades being home to a galactic race of beings that intend to help humanity ascend. When you admire the full moon tonight, you will see the Pleiades cluster glowing very near beside her. To me, the Pleiades feels like home.

The moon herself represents Divine feminine energy. This doesn’t mean that it’s female energy, Divine feminine energy is the energy of possibility, receptivity, and completion. A full moon illuminates the sky- bringing what is usually hidden in darkness into the light to be seen. A full moon gives us the opportunity to see behind our shadows and ‘release’ things that are not in alignment. Even the concept of releasing, to me, isn’t completely accurate, because the idea that we can release anything is quite illusory. When we want to release something- we are essentially saying we reject it. We don’t typically release things we love, but we certainly try to release things that can bring us anguish. We avoid the discomfort…the thing hasn’t integrated yet to become a part of who we are and led us towards another level of wholeness and understanding. So for this full moon- instead of releasing, try INTEGRATING what brings you discomfort, or what no longer serves you. It no longer serves you because it isn’t in alignment with who you are becoming, but it WILL serve you if you integrate it deeply into yourself as a divine teacher and allow it to lead you closer to wholeness. How do you know you have integrated something? It no longer triggers an emotional reaction in you.
