Key's Keys- December 7th, 2024- Energetic Reset Protocol

Hello Beautiful Souls! WHEW! We are going THROUGH IT!

In this week’s newsletter I wanted to share some of the things I have changed over the last year that have contributed significantly to finding deep alignment and ease in my life, despite ongoing challenges. I share it in the hopes that some of the things are adoptable for you in your life. I currently find myself anchored into deep soul alignment and gratitude. I feel on purpose and am guided by my highest self. It is easy to choose love in (most) situations. I freaking love myself. Truly love myself. Finally.

After reading Atomic Habits, (I shared it in a previous newsletter), I recognized that one of the things holding me back in the past was my all or nothing mentality. I couldn’t seem to adopt small changes and focus on consistency and showing up for myself. I had created this story or identity that in order for something to be successful or effective in my life, to create effective transformation, it required immense energetic output. This was a trauma response from challenge in my past. The program running in my head was that it must take huge effort, time and sacrifice to create positive change in my life. I carried a false belief that you get out what you put in to life…if I wanted great transformation then I must put in great sacrifice. I realized that I believed it would be HARD to make changes. I believed I didn’t have the capacity for something that I really had no idea the energetic requirements ….because I had never done it before. It was a story. A bullshit one, and I decided that I was going to make tiny, sustainable changes and slowly add more over time. My old way of attempting to make changes was to change everything all at once, starting on the first day of the month, or the full moon, or the new year, or my birthday. I instead decided to adopt the belief that transformation was inevitable- I simply had to agree to become an experiment and be okay making mistakes. I had to give up the idea of perfection. When I did this, it changed everything.

Step 1- Love myself enough to allow and ENCOURAGE imperfection and stop judging myself to some impossible standard. Imperfection meant I was trying something new, and that meant progress.

Step 2- Show up for myself consistently, by executing SMALL, easily manageable tasks that I added to over time, slowly, to build trust with myself.

Step 3- Give up victimhood. Completely.

What this actually means is we have to take full accountability for our life, our role in it, and the truth that the choices we have made in our life are reflected back to us in the quality of our life. Everything is a mirror, and everything is an opportunity to respond differently and return to Love. Everything becomes a lesson when we seek growth and evolution instead of blaming and projecting onto others.

Finally, I made some specific changes to my day to day life that were incredibly impactful and dramatically helped me become more healthy in body, mind and Spirit. Combined with the above perspective changes, here are five main things that helped me get to where I am today.

1) I changed my relationship to the Sun. I completely reset my circadian rhythms and healed my insomnia. How?

~I started every singe day by immediately going outside, at least 5 min in natural light.

~I changed my contact lenses to non UV contacts. I had worn them since I was 11 years old and I hadn’t slept properly since I started wearing them. I attribute part of this to my eyes not receiving proper sunlight. We are energetic beings that require sunlight to evolve, heal, ascend and energetically expand. Our sun is EVERYTHING, and our lives are spent inside in artificial light and blocking out the sun with sunscreen and sunglasses. We have an epidemic of insomnia and we wonder why our circadians are not functioning in proper rhythms.

~I stopped wearing sunglasses.

~When the sun went down each day, instead of turning the lights on, I lit candles. This triggers an ancient connection to a time when our Ancestors gathered around a fire and told stories, passing down wisdom and creating communal connection. When I replaced artificial light with a more natural light such as fire/ candles, it helped my nervous system unwind.

Following these four steps completely changed the quality of my sleep ( I also added a magnesium supplement before bed- check with your GP). My insomnia disappeared, and I started to dream again. This was one of the most profound changes in my life- I was finally getting the rest I needed in order to heal my nervous system and when you heal your nervous system, your spiritual gifts come back online.

2) I completely stopped drinking tap water and started harvesting water from a natural spring. I was introduced to this sacred spring by a beloved friend, who told me that a friend of hers, a water engineer, had the water tested and it was INCREDIBLE. It was slightly alkaline and full of minerals and natural salts. I began harvesting water every week and each time I went, I went into ceremony to not only share gratitude for the water I was harvesting, but to honour the land as well. I reconnected weekly to the Earth and created a ceremony of deep gratitude for nature and the element of water. When we connect to our Earth, we connect back to ourselves. If yo do not have access to a natural safe spring, then please use filtered water, ideally in glass, not plastic.

3) I severely cut back on sugar and alcohol. I also stopped eating anything after 7 pm and didn’t put anything back in my body until 11 am the following day so my digestive system got a rest.

4) No tech in the mornings until my spiritual practise was complete. I woke up, didn’t even touch or look at my phone, went downstairs and did my spiritual work, then came back up for tea and once I had completed my gratitude practise while drinking my tea, then I could finally Iook at my phone.

5) I made the promise to journal one line a day. That was it. One line. Sometimes, one line was one line, and sometimes it looked like “I feel like crap today and this is my one line.” Sometimes I wrote one line that said “This is stupid and I would rather be doing anything else.” lol. Sometimes one line turned into one page or more and I was all of a sudden processing something I couldn’t access before. I was FLEXIBLE- if I forgot one day, I mean if I genuinely forgot, I allowed myself to catch up the next day by reflecting on the missed day and then writing one line about it on the current day. My rule was, if I genuinely forgot to journal there was no judgment or shame allowed and I made it up the next day, but if I remembered, even if it was one in the morning, I had to write the one line. If I woke up at 3 in the morning remembering I forgot to journal, i got out of bed and wrote the one line . Non negotiable. It didn’t matter how tired I was or what kind of mental state. If I remembered, I wrote the one line. If I genuinely forgot, I gave myself grace.

6) I started moving my body almost every single day. It could be walking, running, hiking, yoga, or the gym, what the activity was didn’t matter. Intensity didn’t matter. CONSISTENCY mattered. My guides told me that to facilitate transformation I needed to move the energy. So I did- a minimum of 5 days a week.

There were so many other small things I did which I will share in future posts. I feel that these 6 were the most impactful- once I implemented them (implementation took 2 months as I added one new thing every 2 weeks or so) my entire life changed.

SOMATIC EXERCISE THAT WORKS

First of all, if you haven’t watched Ted Lasso I highly recommend it- it’s terrific. Second, this is a clip of a somatic exercise that I used to practise when I was an athlete. It helped me release imposter syndrome when I was performing in front of people. It calms the nervous system and helps you feel grounded in your body. It was a practise I did privately prior to competing, a private action that I did behind closed doors to prepare. When I saw this on the show I was really surprised! And, it WORKS. It is also an excellent tool to help you strengthen your boundaries in day to day life. Try it to start your day when you need grounding and to step into your power to be the rock star you truly are!

I teach that we can get stuck when we use our minds to understand why we behave in certain ways.
