Key's Keys- December 28th, 2024-NEW YEAR NEW ENERGY

Hello beautiful souls! We are post the solstice corridor now and there has been a little lull in the energies as of late, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t still moving through some great transformations. I hope that this newsletter finds you basking in calm, seeking solace in the post holiday rush and devoting time to some deep self care and restoration. As we head into the new year, let’s all agree to remember to carve out time for quiet, for introspection, and for the allowance of space to really lean into what the call is for us individually as we step into a new cycle- 2025.
This is the 6th year that I have brought in the new year completely sober- it isn’t that I don’t enjoy a glass of wine now and then, but it has been transformational to bring in a new cycle without any alcohol. I also cold dip on January 1st (if anyone wants to join me- reach out! I’ll be going!), as well as carve out time to really get clear on what worked for me last year….and what didn’t. This has been a practise in itself, to review the things I have accomplished and the things I haven’t with compassion, acceptance, and love. I create a personal ceremony every year, and it looks like a variation of this each time:
1) Alcohol free the night of the 31st- I wake up feeling clean and clear on the 1st
2) Cold dip Jan 1st- ceremony includes intention setting with what I plan to call in, and I connect the discomfort of the cold water with any remnants of disappointment I may carry around what I thought I could accomplish in the past year, what I learned, and any lingering unresolved pain and unmet needs that I may have projected onto others. I let the water literally wash them away, and once the discomfort of the pain from the cold ebbs (around the 3 min mark), I then move my conscious awareness into gratitude for what is about to come, what I intend to FEEL in my process throughout this new year, and before I get out of the water, I affirm that whatever happens, I am, and always will be, enough.
3) I CELEBRATE! This usually means making my favourite dinner, doing art, reading, and spending time with my hubby and pets. I remove all time restrictions and just allow the day to flow, and I really centre in on gratitude. For me, it is important to journal and reflect on everything that I currently have with deep gratitude so that if there is something new I wish to call in, the gratitude serves as the foundation to build a newer, deeper vision of alignment. I am always SO grateful for what I learned in the past year, even if it was challenging. Especially if it was challenging! We cannot even begin to manifest the new until we have done the work around embodiment of the frequency of already having enough. When we want- we manifest more wanting. When we have deep reverence for everything that already is, the frequency switches from a ‘desire out of our reach’ to a ‘co-creative process with the Divine’ that if we surrender to the process, can manifest a new, more aligned reality- as long as we don’t attach to how that reality unfolds.
4) I do a tech detox- a minimum of three days where I don’t even pick up my phone or open my computer. This might be the most powerful part of my ceremony, it fosters deep reconnection to self and our natural environment, and interrupts old patterns that are often linked into old cycles and ways of being.
My wish for you is that you can create your own mini ceremony that helps align you to the timeline you wish to bring forward this year. If you require support, there are a few options brewing that will be unfolding over the next few weeks that you may find really beneficial- stay tuned.

Rather than being a passive receiver of old, unhealthy markers of tradition that are often imposed on us by others, aim to create personalized ceremonies that truly honour your evolution in a way that connects you more deeply to yourself.”
BOOK I’M READING
“FOUR THOUSAND WEEKS- Time Management for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman
This book is PERFECT as we head into the new year. Rather than set resolutions, read this book. It is titled after the meager number of weeks we have to make use of in our lifetime. This passage on page 30 really hit home:
“After all, it's painful to confront how limited your time is, because it means that tough choices are inevitable and that you won't have time for all you once dreamed you might do. It's also painful to accept your limited control over the time you do get: maybe you simply lack the stamina or talent or other resources to perform well in all the roles you feel you should. And so, rather than face our limitations, we engage in avoidance strategies, in an effort to carry on feeling limitless. We push ourselves harder, chasing fantasies of the perfect work-life balance; or we implement time management systems that promise to make time for everything, so that tough choices won't be required. Or we procrasti-nate, which is another means of maintaining the feeling of omnipotent control over life— because you needn't risk the upsetting experience of failing at an intimidating project, obviously, if you never even start it. We fill our minds with busyness and distraction to numb ourselves emotionally. ("We labour at our daily work more ardently and thoughtlessly than is necessary to sustain our life," wrote Nietzsche, "because to us it is even more necessary not to have leisure to stop and think. Haste is universal because everyone is in flight from himself.") Or we plan compulsively, because the alternative is to confront how little control over the future we really have. Moreover, most of us seek a specifically individualistic kind of mastery over time—our culture's ideal is that you alone should control your schedule, doing whatever you prefer, whenever you want—because it's scary to confront the truth that almost everything worth doing, from marriage and parenting to business or politics, depends on cooperating with others, and therefore on exposing yourself to the emotional uncertainties of relationships.”

PODCAST I AM ENJOYING
I really enjoyed this podcast, it’s the first one from Shaman Oaks I have listened to and the podcast focuses on interviews with people that have had near death experiences and returned from them to live, profoundly changed. It’s 30 min well spent. The most profound thing to me was that during shamanic journeys, and especially after the passing of some dear family members, I was shown some of the exact same things she mentions in her NDE that she saw in the afterlife- specifically- the crystal cities (which I visited in a QHHT session), as well as the healing pools which is where I was told that my father was healing when I journeyed to find him a few months after he had passed. Please enjoy!
